ARTIST & ADVISOR

I played the titular role in ‘Tanja’ which I toured with SBC across the country for two years. I am an ambassador for SBC, City of Sanctuary and Refugee Council and have spoken at several conferences and events with and for them.

I work on a voluntary basis as Leeds Co-ordinator for RETAS and have undertaken Campaigning and Advocacy Skills courses to support asylum seekers and refugees, a Leeds Playhouse course in Public Speaking to raise awareness regarding asylum seekers and refugees in schools and universities.

I gained a BA in Education at the University of Transkei, South Africa and subsequently worked as a teacher before coming to the UK. I have a Social Work BA (HONS) from the University of Bradford and have worked as a Teaching Assistant and Interpreter. I played the role of Edith for Blue Moment Theatre and sing for many choirs and groups whenever I have the time!
