I first met the SBC team through another Theatre Company of Sanctuary, Curious Monkey. I joined SBC’s International Ensemble with my brother Mohammad, where we learned about devising theatre, writing poetry and learning English. My brother and I love gaming so I pitched an idea to them during lockdown about a computer game of our life, SBC Theatre and Knaive Theatre really loved the idea so Have Your Passport Ready was born. This was mine and Mohammad’s first professional writing and performing job and it has been so exciting to see the impact it has had on people. I represent SBC at many events now and advise them on their workshops.

I have recently set up as a freelance photographer and love taking production and workshop shots as well as street photography and demo shots. Before moving to Sheffield I was a Photographer and Volunteer for Inclusive Theatre in Za'atari Camp Jordan, supporting children to get involved with theatre and photography. I was an active member of the Youth Committee in IMC, Za'atari Camp where I helped to devise, write and perform in theatre performances and plan and deliver creative activities for children and the community in general. I have worked as a Carpenter’s Assistant, trained in Journalism with the International Medical Corps and Communications and Project management with the Lutheran Charity Federation. I am a proud volunteer for Refugee Council, Sheffield.
