Stand & Be Counted is delighted to welcome three new accomplished trustees, following an open recruitment process.

Hamda Shahzad, Laura Winson and Donna Ridland will support the growing ambitions of the arts charity, the UK’s first theatre company of sanctuary, from winter 2023.

 

Rosie MacPherson, SBC’s Artistic Director and Joint CEO said:

“We’re so thrilled to have appointed three brilliantly experienced, talented and passionate women to join our board of trustees at an exciting time for our organisation.”

The three trustees all bring a wealth of valuable experience to their new roles.

Hamda Shahzad

Hamda is currently working as a HR Business Partner where she leads on complex people issues. In previous roles, she worked in several different areas of HR, including pay and reward, and talent management.

Laura Winson

Laura is Head of Development at Derby Theatre, leading on fundraising strategy as part of the senior management team.  An experienced fundraiser, Laura has also worked in corporate organisations delivering events, sponsorship, and membership programmes.

Donna Ridlan

Donna is a qualified accountant, working part-time for a local authority. She has a huge amount of management and accountancy experience. She has worked across several sectors and is currently a member of a Pension Board, Treasurer for a local community group and a Director of Armstrong Quay Management Company.
