An immersive BINAURAL audio adventure for the whole family!

We are kicking off the summer with a brand new immersive audio adventure for the whole family available in English and Arabic. Secret Summer is a multilingual story walk, using geotagging technology, co-created with our Youth Theatre of Sanctuary.

Join Squirrel, Butterflies, Unicorn and The Beetles for an exciting roam through your local park. Download our free app, plug your headphones in and enjoy a dazzling live and interactive experience, get your face painted and join our characters as you uncover the secrets of the park!

Following on from our adventures in Heeley People’s Park as part of Migration Matters Festival 2023, Secret Summer is scurrying straight over to Deer Shed Festival in July. If you can’t join us for the live event don’t worry! Secret Summer is currently available to download and enjoy anytime you take a trip to Heeley People’s Park and Endcliffe Park in Sheffield.

During weekly creative sessions, our Youth Theatre of Sanctuary, made up of children aged 3-16 from around the globe created an exciting world of magic and wildlife for you to enjoy. Stories are brought to life via a series of audio chapters connected to specific locations on your route. As you move through the park your app will trigger each chapter to play and you will be welcomed into the hidden world of the areas many inhabitants… but don’t tell anyone. It’s a secret!

Secret Summer is available in English and Arabic.

How to play:

You will need a device to download and play the Secret Summer app and headphones. Allow 45 minutes to explore the route, there are 9 chapters and each lasts approximately 3 minutes.

There is a downloadable activity pack at the end of the adventure, you can design the characters as you see them in your head and create your own secret world of wildlife. We would love you to share your ideas with us!
