A day focused strengthening the Bradford Lift the Ban movement, through lived experience panels, performances, food and action!
We are very excited to announce the Lift the Ban Bradford day, as part of the national Lift The Ban campaign. The day will include panel discussions, live drumming, creative performances, food, and a workshop on how we can all be activists. Let's make this a big one!
The Lift the Ban Campaign is a coalition of over 300 organisations, including charities, trade unions, and businesses led by Refugee Action, campaigning to allow people seeking asylum in the UK to work. It urges the government to grant working rights after six months of an asylum claim, unconstrained by the Shortage Occupation List, aiming to end enforced poverty and enable integration.
