Stand & Be Counted Presents

The Railway Children Immersive Experience

As part of Bradford 2025's flagship production of The Railway Children, members of our Bradford Soap Box Collective, who come from all over the world and now call Bradford home, created an immersive soundscape for passengers to enjoy on their steam train adventure.

As passengers travelled to the live production they were transported to an exciting audio world of welcome and friendship in multiple languages, exploring what it means to start again and build community together. Alongside the immersive audio experience Soap Box members created an interactive suitcase full of souvenirs harnessing the magic of augmented reality and illustration - made for our audiences and friends, with love, to take on their journey home too. Stand & Be Counted also commissioned Maha Al-Omari to design a very special Railway Children poster for audiences to mark our organisation's 15th year.
